Tyres
We don't stock tyres because we want to make sure we fit the newest tyres and give you the greatest choice, and there is a big choice in tyres.
We order in the specific tyres for your car that suit your needs and budgets.
We can often get tyres same day (if ordered before 12pm), or next day.
Our prices are always all-inclusive. We quote the full price including fitting, valves, disposal and balancing so that you know the full cost from the start.
Wherever we can fix a puncture we will to save the cost , financial and environmental, of unnecessary renewals.
If you have any concerns about your tyres, wear, lost pressure or alloy damage contact us and we will assess and make recommendations for you.
Diagnostics
More and more we are reliant on computers to help fix cars. We have a good diagnostic computer which allows us to log onto most cars to read the fault memory and help identify issues with the vehicle.
If you book in with us for a diagnostic appointment we can read and diagnose through the fault log.
As we don't have manufacturer specific software, there are some issues which our system is not able to communicate with the car. In these instances we would be able to direct you to a dealership or specialist who would have access to a higher level of detail required to fix the problem.
Servicing
We only use manufacturer approved oil for each individual car. We proudly stock and use Industry leading Castrol Oil.

Air Conditioning
An effective air conditioning system is important not just in the Summer. In the winter, using the air conditioning helps to speed up the demisting process.
We have invested in the proper equipment to test and re-gas air conditioning systems. Our equipment will safely remove any remaining gas , complete a leak test using a specialist dye (highlighting any leaks in the system), and then re-gas the system.
If your air conditioning seems stale or a but musty, ask for an Air Con refresh which is an anti-bacterial treatment that will freshen and kill bacteria.
There are 2 gases which can be found in cars, and we are able to work on both. R-1234yf in newer cars and R-134a in older vehicles. If you are uncertain which gas system your car uses we can check for you.
Cambelts & Timing Chains
Cambelts are an essential part of the ongoing car maintenance with recommended replacement schedules. These belts are a cruical part of the engines mechanical timing, and as such if they wear or disintegrate over time, it can cause terminal engine failure. As such it is recommended that you ensure the cambelt is changed within the specified timeframe. If you don't know the history of the vehicle, we would recommend it is replaced as a precaution.
Timing chains do a similar job, but aren't a part of the standard maintenance. However if they go wrong, they will require replacing which we can do on some cars. Symptoms often include an increase in noise, maybe more of a knocking noise. If you notice a change or increase in the sound of your engine its always worth getting it looked at.
Regular servicing in line with recommendations helps minimise excessive wear on these and other parts.
Brakes
- We can service and repair all elements of the braking system. Pads, discs, calipers (new or refurbished) and brake shoes.
- We can also fix some ABS faults, replace wear leads and brake adjustment.
- Brake fluid changes (often recommended every 2-3 years) can be done on their own or as part of a full service.
Suspension
Suspension parts are a major cause of MOT failures.
We can repair many suspension parts, most commonly: coil springs, top strut mounts, shock absorbers and many more.
Repairs
We can help with a wide range of repairs across the car:
- bulbs - many in stock to fit while you wait
- batteries - ordered in specific to your car
- windscreen wipers - ordered and fitted
- clutches
- engine rebuilds
- many sensor faults
- glow plugs
Wheel Alignment
If you have been experiencing difficulty in handling or advised of uneven tyre wear, you may need wheel alignment or tracking.
Computerised wheel alignment can make an enormous difference to the driveability of your car and save premature wear on your tyres.
When we carry out an alignment, you will get a print out showing the direction of your tyres at diagnosis and after adjustment so you can see what has been adjusted.
Exhausts
We can replace and repair various elements of the exhaust system including catalytic converters.
With manufacturers increasing focus on emissions and the use of DPF's we always recommend the use of Super/premium fuel. Whilst it is more expensive to fill up, the 'super unleaded' and 'super diesel' contain cleaners which help your engine run cleaner and more efficiently. It helps to keep expensive emission control components in good working order.
